Commitments made at the Tent European Business Summit

  • Accenture committed to partner with organizations to help skill and support an estimated 16,000 refugee job seekers and migrants in Europe, including Ukrainian refugee women, over the next three years. Through Accenture’s global Skills to Succeed initiative, Accenture is committed to providing access to skills development and training opportunities needed to get a job or start a business. The initiative targets those from under-served, disadvantaged or otherwise challenged communities, including refugees. In addition, Accenture committed to hire 100 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over the next three years in Europe.
  • Accor Group committed to train 1,500 Ukrainian refugee women and other refugees in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Spain over three years. Accor will partner with SINGA, a nonprofit organization, to provide refugee women with professional, entrepreneurship, and cultural inclusion training.
  • Adecco committed to connect 50,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, to work in Europe over three years, by including them in its contingent workforce. Adecco will provide training to 10,000 of these 50,000 refugees, by offering technical and language training. This commitment builds on Adecco’s efforts to place 15,000 refugees into jobs in Europe in 2022, as well as match 8,000 Ukrainian refugees to employment and train 1,300 Ukrainian refugees through the adeccojobs4ukraine platform.
  • Amazon committed to hire 5,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, across its European business over three years. Amazon will support the integration of its refugee employees in Poland and Germany through its Welcome Door program, which offers access to several benefits including the ability to connect to immigration experts. In addition, Amazon is working towards a goal to train 10,000 Ukrainians, including refugees, through its ITSkills4U program. The program offers virtual and in-person IT and cloud skills training, Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications, and career services, to help Ukrainians with little or no tech experience as well as experienced practitioners rejoin the workforce.
  • bp committed to hire 70 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its European operations, including in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and the UK. In addition, bp committed to provide training and coaching to 250 refugees in areas such as CV writing and interview skills through employability and other events.
  • Cisco committed to train 10,000 Ukrainian refugees across Europe over three years. It will do so by offering programming and cyber security courses in Ukrainian through its Start IT Cisco4Ukraine education program. Refugee candidates will then be entered into Cisco’s Talent Bridge Matching Engine, to connect refugees to jobs across Cisco’s ecosystem. In addition, Cisco has committed to hire refugees across Europe into a 2-year apprenticeship program at Cisco. Some of the program candidates will then be hired at the company as a customer operation manager or project specialists. These commitments build on Cisco’s efforts to train 4,000 Ukrainian refugees between March 2022 and June 2023.
  • Duni Group committed to hire 50 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years in Sweden, Germany, and Poland.
  • ESS Group committed to hire 165 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
  • EWL Group committed to connect 35,000 Ukrainian refugees, including Ukrainian women, to work primarily in Poland, as well as Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Romania over three years by including them in its contingent workforce, and by placing them in jobs with its clients. This commitment builds on EWL Group’s efforts that led to the placement of 13,000 Ukrainian refugees into jobs in Poland between March and December 2022.
  • FCC Medio Ambiente committed to hire 300 refugees, including Ukrainian women, over three years in Europe.
  • Generali committed to train 5,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, in France, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland over three years. It will do so through the Human Safety Net, Generali’s initiative which partners with local organizations, including ReDi School, Joblinge, EachOne, the Milan Committee of the Red Cross, and Capacity, to provide labor market pathways and placements into jobs, from IT specialists to care workers.
  • Hempel committed to hire 50 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years in the UK. In addition, Hempel committed to provide training to 50 refugees in Spain over three years. It will do so through a dedicated Painters Program for individuals interested in pursuing a career in painting.
  • Hilton committed to hire 1,500 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its European operations. This commitment builds on Hilton’s efforts to hire 400 refugees in Europe between March 2022 and June 2023.
  • Indeed committed to training 15,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and the UK. Indeed will do so by hosting webinars to share job search and interview best practices, as well as developing online content to upskill refugees in their job search. In addition, Indeed will host five job fairs across five European markets to connect refugees to major employers and help them secure jobs.
  • Ipsos committed to hire 100 refugees, over three years, including across its European operations.
  • ISS committed to hire 1,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its European operations. ISS will offer training, upskilling, and development opportunities in the facilities management industry to its refugee employees across all countries. This commitment builds on ISS’s efforts to hire at least 550 refugees in Europe between March 2022 and June 2023.
  • KFC committed to train and hire 300 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its restaurants in Europe including France, Germany, Poland, Romania, and Spain. This commitment builds on KFC’s successful refugee hiring pilots in Germany, Poland, and Romania in 2022.
  • Kyndryl committed to train 580 Ukrainian refugees over three years with a focus on Poland, through its two programs Kyndryl Skills Training and Kyndryl Foundations for Success, which will also offer career coaching. In addition, Kyndryl committed to hire 50 Ukrainian refugee women with a focus on Poland.
  • ManpowerGroup is committed to supporting 45,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over the next three years in Europe. It will do so by working with clients and others to place 30,000 refugees into meaningful employment opportunities. For 15,000 refugees, it will provide a mix of upskilling and training courses through its MyPath and Experis Academies and make available its Right Management’s PowerSuite NEXT resources that provide professional guidance. Together, these efforts will help refugees grow their skill sets and expand employment opportunities and their potential to grow their income over the short and long term.
  • Marriott International committed to hire 1,500 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its European operations. This commitment builds on Marriott International’s efforts to hire over 970 refugees in Europe between March 2022 and June 2023.
  • Menzies Aviation committed to hire 150 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women in Europe. This is part of Menzies Aviation’s global target to have 1 percent of its workforce made up of refugees by 2026. Menzies Aviation will provide language training to its refugee employees in partnership with local organizations.
  • ​Microsoft committed to train 5,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women across Europe over three years. Microsoft will do so by providing intensive IT training in,amongst others cyber security and digital skills, in partnership with local organizations such as Redi School, Fundacja Rozwoju Społeczeństwa Informacyjnego, and Instytut Kościuszki, and by connecting the certified refugees to partners and workforce opportunities. In addition, Microsoft and partners will offer wrap around services  such as language support, psychological support and childcare.
  • Novartis committed to hire 150 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, including across Novartis’ European operations, over three years. In addition, Novartis committed to provide at least 150 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, with language and cultural training, as well as training in data science, project management, marketing, and communications.
  • PepsiCo committed to hire 500 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, across its European operations over three years.
  • Pfizer committed to hire 100 refugees, including Ukrainian women, across its European operations over three years.
  • QSRP committed to hire 75 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, in Germany, as well as Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, and Luxembourg over three years. QSRP will hire refugees in its fully-owned brands Nordsee, O’Tacos and Quick Belgium, as well as through the franchised restaurants the company operates for Burger King in Belgium, Italy, and Luxembourg.
  • Randstad committed to supporting the work lives of 50,000 refugees over the next three years. It will do so by connecting to jobs 40,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years. In addition, Randstad will provide training to 10,000 refugees on language, CV building, and interview skills, as well as offer upskilling programs for roles in logistics and technology. This commitment builds on Randstad’s efforts to place 20,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, into jobs in 2022.
  • Salesforce committed to train 1,500 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, across Europe over three years, by providing digital skills training. In addition, Salesforce committed to place 600 of those 1,500 refugees into jobs through its partners and clients in the Salesforce Talent Alliance.
  • Suez and its subsidiary Rebond Insertion committed to train and hire 110 refugees in France over three years in positions such as heavy-duty mechanics, drivers, water network workers and maintenance technicians. Suez will also provide social support for these employees.
  • Teleperformance committed to hire 500 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its European operations, including in France, Greece, Germany, Portugal, and the UK. This commitment builds on Teleperformance’s efforts to hire 100 refugees in Europe between March 2022 and June 2023.
  • The Body Shop committed to train and hire 200 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its European operations, through inclusive hiring schemes. To help integrate refugees into the workplace, The Body Shop is partnering with local NGOs to provide employability training sessions that will prepare them to work in The Body Shop retail stores as well as on-the-job mentoring.
  • Unilever and its wholly-owned brand Ben & Jerry’s, committed to train 1000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across Europe, including in France, the Netherlands, and the UK. Unilever will train 560 refugees through the Embark program, which trains individuals in business and management skills. Ben & Jerry’s will train 440 refugees via the UP (Unlimited Potential) Collective, which supports refugee entrepreneurs through incubator courses and part-time job placements. In addition, Ben & Jerry’s committed to work with its European suppliers to place 30 refugees in jobs with suppliers over three years. Ben & Jerry’s activism teams will continue to call on governments to remove barriers that prevent refugees and asylum seekers from entering the labor market.
  • As a group, adidasBlackstoneHyattL’Oréal GroupThe Kraft-Heinz Company, and Starbucks EMEA made a collective commitment to hire 1,750 refugees over three years across Europe.
