Mentoring

Providing Professional Mentorship Opportunities for Refugees

Refugees often have prior skilled work experience and higher education. Yet, many struggle to restart their careers in their new communities. Complementing Tent’s mission of connecting refugees to work, Tent’s mentorship initiatives pair employees from leading companies with refugee mentees seeking professional mentorship.

Through these programs, mentors provide their refugee mentees with individualized support to help them learn about the job market and workplace norms in their new host country. Refugees also strengthen their skills and expand their professional networks, while mentors build their communication, leadership, and intercultural skills – and become champions for refugee inclusion.
