In 2019, Rabobank committed to providing 60 refugees in the Netherlands with access to the Dutch labor market through direct hiring, work experience, or internships.

After successfully meeting its target by hiring 60 refugees, in 2022, Rabobank committed to hiring an additional 50 refugees in the Netherlands over three years. Rabobank will also focus on retaining its refugee employees by offering training programs, language courses, as well as buddying and mentoring programs. In addition, Rabobank will give refugees an opportunity to participate in the Refugee Talent Hub’s Finance Academy, which provides training about what it is like to work in the financial sector in the Netherlands, and gives participants mentorship opportunities.
