Desmond is the Senior Advisor for Global Mentorship at Tent.
Prior to Tent, Desmond worked in both non and for profit sectors across North America and Asia. He served as a Battalion logistics officer for the Singapore Armed Forces, and worked closely with Singapore companies to help expand their businesses in China as Regional Director for Enterprise Singapore, a Singapore government agency focusing on growing Singapore’s external economy. In Toronto, Desmond was a Manager at Bain & Company, and worked with clients on projects related to private equity, change management and enterprise strategy. He is currently a volunteer responder with the Canada Suicide Prevention Service and the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto.
Desmond holds a BA in Economics from Columbia University, a MSc in Public Policy from Japan’s National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies, and an MBA from the Rotman School of Business.
