Hiring & Training

In 2022, Gap Inc. joined 13 companies in collectively committing to hire 2,275 refugees over three years in the United States.

Gap Inc. also provides life skills education and technical training to refugee women in Bangladesh, Jordan, and Turkey through its Personal Advancement & Career Enhancement (P.A.C.E) program, which was developed to provide career development and support to women in the apparel industry. For example, in Jordan, Gap Inc. has supported nearly 3,200 refugee women in Azraq and Zaatari refugee camps, and in urban settings through the P.A.C.E. program in partnership with UNHCR, CARE, International Relief & Development, and the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development.

Gap, Inc. is part of Tent U.S., exploring opportunities to help refugees enter the labor market, including through employment or job preparation.

In-kind Donation

Gap Inc. has donated approximately 6 million pieces of clothing to refugees in Armenia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, and Lebanon in partnership with UNHCR.

Mentorship

In 2023, Gap committed to mentoring 50 Hispanic refugees over three years in Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.
