Novartis has supported several organizations that are helping refugees’ access to healthcare around the world. This includes helping the Swiss Red Cross build four primary healthcare centers to provide medical care to 100,000 refugees in Cox’s Bazar refugee camp in Bangladesh. In addition, Novartis has supported the International Rescue Committee in providing humanitarian and psychosocial support for refugees in Kenya, Uganda, and Somalia, including assistance to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among vulnerable communities

In-kind Donation

Novartis has provided in-kind support to improve access to medicines and healthcare for refugees. For example, Novartis worked with the Colombian Red Cross to provide medication for chronic and non-transmissible diseases to vulnerable populations in Colombia, starting with Venezuelan refugees.
