In 2022, Sodexo committed to hiring 180 refugees in full-time roles and 20 refugees in part-time roles over three years in the United States.
Sodexo previously committed to hiring 300 work-eligible refugees by 2020 in at least four countries, including the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and Sweden. Sodexo worked with local organizations and key government agencies to identify and onboard the refugees into its workforce. Sodexo also committed to hiring 300 refugees by 2021 in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. To ensure their success at the company, Sodexo provided them with support such as language training and professional development coaching.
Sodexo is part of the Tent Coalition for Refugees in the U.S., exploring hiring, training, and mentoring opportunities for refugees across the country.
Sodexo is helping provide better access to employment and supporting the economic inclusion of Ukrainian refugee women in Europe through Tent’s Sunflower Project.
Mentorship
In 2021, Sodexo committed to mentoring 50 refugee women in France, Germany, and the Netherlands over three years.
In 2023, Sodexo committed to mentoring 50 Afghan refugees over three years in cities across the United States, including the Washington D.C., Houston, Chicago, Minneapolis and San Francisco Bay Areas.
