In 2023, Starbucks committed to train 2,000 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, across Europe over three years. It will do so through the Starbucks Refugee Employability Program, a training program including customer service and interview skills, that guarantees a job interview to all participants upon completion. Starbucks committed to hire a select group of refugees that take part in this program over three years.

Starbucks committed to hiring 10,000 refugees in 75 markets in which Starbucks currently operates. Starbucks will work in partnership with NGOs to provide job readiness training for careers in retail and employment opportunities to qualified candidates who possess work authorization.

Mentorship

In 2023, Starbucks committed to mentoring 50 Afghan refugees over three years in cities across the United States, including Seattle and Washington D.C
