In 2024, VI Living committed to hire 50 refugees in the United States over three years in housekeeping, food & beverage, facilities management, and care roles. VI Living will offer online English language classes as well as other employment benefits to its refugee employees.

VI Living is part of the Tent Coalition for Refugees in the U.S., exploring hiring, training, and mentoring opportunities for refugees across the country.
