The Tent Coalition for Refugees in the U.S. is a network of more than 175 major companies from across the country stepping up to integrate refugees, through hiring, training, and mentorship.
The Coalition aims to empower Afghans, Ukrainians, and other newcomers from around the world who are beginning a new life in the U.S., and help them accelerate their economic and social integration. Through its Coalition, Tent provides members with exclusive guidance, trainings, and best practices; access to regular convenings with peer companies; recommendations on local nonprofits; and many other free services.
A Long-Standing Bipartisan Tradition of Welcome
Since 1980, the U.S. has admitted more than 3 million refugees. Over the last 18 months, the United States has welcomed hundreds of thousands of refugees and forcibly displaced – including from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela – building on the country’s long standing bipartisan tradition of welcoming refugees. There is a unique opportunity for businesses to step up and help these newcomers by connecting them to work opportunities.
