Tent and AirBnB encourage businesses to support refugees

During the 2017 UN General Assembly, Elizabeth Dickinson of Devex interviewed Tent’s Executive Director, Gideon Maltz, about how businesses are working to positively impact the lives of refugees.

In his interview Maltz noted that despite the challenging political environment, businesses should step up to support refugees. Saying companies “shouldn’t be embarrassed about the fact that they have refugees in their workforce and are doing things to help refugees” because it can actually persuade consumers to buy more of their products.

The coverage by Devex also features an interview with Joe Gebbia, AirBnB co-founder and Tent Advisory Council Member, about AirBnb’s efforts to support refugees through their Open Homes program.
